BACKGROUND INFORMATION

Grimethorpe Electronic Village Hall (GEVH) has been in operation since 1994, delivering IT services to individuals and organisations.

We were a forerunner of the original network of Electronic Village Halls in Barnsley, and we continue to work with voluntary and community groups, small businesses, social enterprises and individual users ensuring that their IT requirements are met, both in terms of quality and cost.

GEVH are a not for profit organisation, with grants and commercial contracts enabling us to to be able to offer some of our services free of charge or at reduced rates - in particular to the hard to reach, vulnerable and those excluded or at risk of exclusion.

Our services contribute to the regeneration of the area, by providing the facility for individuals and groups to develop their skills and also by offering affordable IT solutions to businesses.

GEVH PARTNERS - Associates & Volunteers

As well as employed staff, we work with ICT professionals who bring additional skills and experience to GEVH, and who enable us to deliver quality ICT training and support services.

GEVH also enlist the help of volunteer workers, who support the organisation at all levels - from Trainers to Board members.
